The Globe and Mail Business for the Arts Awards

Created by Business for the Arts in 1978, with The Globe and Mail joining as title sponsor in 2006, The Globe and Mail Business for the Arts Awards recognize companies that show outstanding commitment to the arts in Canada. These companies know the extraordinary impact the arts can make in Canadian communities; sparking creativity in children, providing jobs, drawing tourists, ensuring the vitality of urban centres, and providing new ways of seeing ourselves as Canadians. The purpose of these awards is to honour the contribution these companies make through their partnerships. Businesses can be nominated in the following four different categories:

  • Best Arts/Entrepreneur Partnership
  • Most Effective Corporate Program
  • Most Innovative Marketing Sponsorship
  • The First Dance Award

The 2008 Globe and Mail Business for the Arts Awards have been selected. Please join us in celebrating these extraordinary partnerships at Toronto’s Carlu on October 20th.
