artsScene is not only a local but a national network of like-minded young professionals who support the arts. Since its inception in Toronto in 2006, artsScene chapters have also been established in Halifax, Montreal, Ottawa – Gatineau, Winnipeg, Edmonton, Toronto and Vancouver.
artsScene was created by Business for the Arts (BftA), a national non-profit organization dedicated to the support and promotion of business involvement in the arts.

boardLink gives people just like you the chance to mix, mingle and match with arts organizations and find out about volunteer opportunities. It’s great for someone who has never served on a board before, or who is looking to take on a new organization.

boardLink is an annual event that connects arts organizations with young business professionals who are interested in volunteering on a board or committee. artsScene curates the event to ensure that it is full of young professionals from a variety of business backgrounds, with a wealth of knowledge and energy, who can act as ambassadors for your organization within their corporate communities.
We have limited positions available for arts organizations to participate in boardLink 2014. Below you will find an application form which must be completed and submitted by September 30, 2014. You will note that each organization is asked to have a clear idea of the position(s) it seeks to fill and what skills are required.
boardLink 2014 will take place on the evening of Wednesday, November 5 at Endeavor Arts & Event Space (#200 1209 1st St SW). If your application is successful, you will be required to send a minimum of two delegates to represent your organization.
